No, Cher fans?I?m assuming that some of you actually exist?don?t worry. The ?I Got You Babe? and ?Believe? singer is still alive, despite a rumor that has spread on wildfire that the singer/actress (real name: Cherilyn Sarkisian, which actually sounds cooler than just ?Cher,? in a supervillain kind of way) had died.
Apperently, Twitter user @Lorraine_Star faked a retweet from CNN that read ?RT @CNN: American recording artist Cher dies at 65 years old. Found dead in Malibu home,? and then spread throughout Twitter like a virus, as fans and people who just like to retweet stuff about dead celebrities constantly hit ?retweet? on the news.
Even Kim Kardashian was moved to take time out from constructing false marriages to toss down to her hungry followers like shreds of beef tossed to starved and ravenous pigs to mention how distraught she was at the news:
?Did I just hear Cher has passed away? Is this real? OMG?
Yes, Kim. OMG, indeed. Totes OMG.
Luckily, for Kim, and I guess for Cher, the singer isn?t dead, just the victim of an odd and quite random dead celeb hoax. Hopefully, with that settled, our brief national nightmare and end and we call all return to some kind of normalcy. Whew.
What do you think of the Cher news?
