Quotes:
"She was such a beautiful thing. As soon as I saw her I thought about adopting her. When I came back to the office the next day, she had already been taken. I have been thinking about her ever since, but I suppose I could have never offered her the life she will have now." - Sosina Yeman (a worker at the social affairs office in Awasa) on baby Zahara.
"Both Angelina and Brad held her and looked lovely with her. They looked like a happy family, like any other couple that comes and visits. Brad looked very comfortable holing the baby, like a proud father. We are always sad when the children leave because they are our children and we love them but I know she will be going to a very good place." - Sister Lete (Zahara's caregiver in the orphange) on Zahara's new parents and her feelings once Zahara was gone.
"They have programs in their countries [for] each of them we?re starting. There?s a TB/AIDS clinic being built for Zahara; there?s a clinic already for Mad[dox]. So each of them will take that responsibility. They are from their country and they are of their country and they should know that, it?s part of their family, we are their family but so is their country.? - Angelina on wanting her children to one day give back to their homelands.
"Those late nights are so fun when one of them's up or those mornings when they get up and make pancakes or something. That's what it's about." - Brad on those special moments that make the craziness worth every second.
"Brad and Angie, there's much more pressure on them than there is on me. He [Brad] asked me what my everyday is like. I said, 'Well, I grab the kids from school, and then we go over to the park.' And he was just looking at me, like, 'How can you do that?' Because he can't." - pal Matt Damon on the famous family.

Usher might not have known how big Justin Bieber would become when he discovered him a few years back, but he was pretty sure he had found something special.
Since Bieber burst on the scene with his My World EP back in 2009, the 17-year-old has grown up with the world watching. He's gone from up-and-comer to full-fledged pop sensation, racking up chart-topping albums and a box-office hit and becoming an all-around mega-heartthrob — all in two years. Of course, with the good does come negative attention as well. Recently, Bieber was hit with a paternity lawsuit, which has since been dropped. Usher, no stranger to his own controversies, had these words for the Biebs: "Stay strong. And know that all of this comes with the territory." Aside from the drama, Usher is especially proud of Bieber's charitable side. His mentor said he "absolutely" knew the kid from Stratford, Ontario, had a big heart from the start. "To write a check is only half of it, but when you truly take on a responsibility to be a philanthropist, you accept an effort, and I really think that Pencils of Promise is something that has a very bright future," Usher told MTV News at an event for the charity, noting that Bieber is a only a small part of it. Usher — who appears on Bieber's new Christmas album, Under the Mistletoe — gives credit to the folks surrounding the teen superstar, including manager Scooter Braun. "Just judging from the determination and the will power of the entire team around Justin, I see a very, very promising [future] for him as a philanthropist," Usher said.

Bundled up to thwart the wintry east coast weather, Carey Mulligan was joined by her guitar toting fiance Marcus Mumford while heading to tend to press duties in New York City on Sunday (January 8).
The English actress was escorted inside The Times Center, where she cleaned herself up before parting in the New York Times TimesTalk as part of the 2012 NY Times Arts & Leisure weekend.
The weekend outing comes just after Miss Mulligan spoke with the Times about her nudity laden role in the Steve McQueen directed film "Shame".
?I had days of walking around New York with Steve, just talking about films and how women?s bodies are portrayed in cinema, and the absurdity of the expectation of how you?re meant to look and as an actress how you?re meant to look,? the 26-year-old dished.
?Mentally, I was never against the idea. I knew [my character, Sissy] didn?t go to the gym and diet, she drank and ate, and so I had fun and didn?t worry about what I looked like,? Carey added. ?And by the time we were filming I felt free. It was quite fun in a way because it was the perfect way to flaunt abandon, in that scene. It was kind of liberating.?

From music to TV to celebrity babies, MTV News looks ahead to all of the big releases expected in the coming months.
By Jocelyn Vena
It's a new year and that means that there's lots of ooey-gooey pop goodness all ready to pour out in 2012. Between celebrity babies, music and Hollywood, fans should gear up for some really big stuff in the coming year. But if history has taught us anything, as hard as we might plan, pop culture always has a way of sneaking up and surprising us. Not that we're complaining. So get your planners out: MTV News is looking ahead at what to expect in the world of pop culture.
Music
There are lots of big album releases slated for 2012. Crossover queen Nicki Minaj will release Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded just in time to show her Barbz and Kenz some love on Valentine's Day. Madonna already has confirmed that she will drop her next album come spring. Fans already got a taste of it when the single "Gimme All Your Luvin' " leaked on the Internet.
"American Idol" alum Adam Lambert is readying the release of his next album, Trespassing, set to drop in March. Willow Smith's fans should whip their hair back and forth as the tween's long-simmering debut album, Knees and Elbows, will finally drop in April. Justin Bieber has teased his Believe album for a summer release. He's shared that it will pick up where Justin Timberlake left off before he decided to focus on his acting. Basically, he's bringing sexy back.
There are two forthcoming albums that don't have exact release dates but are highly anticipated nonetheless. Lady Gaga is already thinking about her next album and recently revealed to MTV News that she even has a title for her Born This Way follow-up in mind. Taylor Swift is knee-deep in and working hard on her follow-up to her phenomenally successful Speak Now.
TV
In between pumping out tunes, some big shows will also return in 2012. Everything from "The Secret Circle" to "2 Broke Girls" to "New Girl" will be back for more fun come the new year.
After a break, "Pretty Little Liars" will be back midseason. Will we finally find out who "A" is when season 2 resumes on January 2? Well, only that texting antagonist knows the answer. There are many other mysteries on "The Vampire Diaries" that will also have to be resolved once that show picks up again on January 5. And if all that drama is too much to handle, "Glee" will be back for more sing-along good times on January 17, with the Michael Jackson tribute episode airing one week later.
Celebrity Babies
2012 is poised to be a big year for famous babies. OK, so 2011 saw Mariah Carey and Dem Babies, but some of the most famous ladies in La La Land and beyond will become first-time moms in the new year, giving MC and her family a run for their money.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z will welcome their first child into the world any day now. The twosome revealed they were in the family way at the VMAs back in August. Jessica Simpson and her fiancé, Eric Johnson, will also welcome their first little bundle of joy. The news of the pregnancy came after a lot of speculation about Simpson's expanding midsection. As it turns out, it's a big year for triple-threat moms-to-be, with Hilary Duff also expecting a baby come 2012.
