Move over Zac Efron, there's a new Link Larkin in town! Nick Jonas is set to play the teen heartthrob (such a stretch) this summer during a limited-run engagement of "Hairspray" at the Hollywood Bowl.

Having already starred in musicals like Disney's "Camp Rock" and a production of "Les Misérables," the Jonas brother should feel at ease when he takes the stage alongside stage stars like Harvey Fierstein and Marissa Jaret Winokur (who will both assume their original Broadway roles), as well as "Glee" actor John Stamos, Drew Carey and former Disney star Corbin Bleu.

MTV News caught up with the youngest JoBro on Wednesday and he shared with us how he's prepping for the show in August. (He also dished about his other summer plans, including teaming up withQuaker Chewy Superstar Search.)

"I'm really excited about doing 'Hairspray.' When they approached me about it, I was really blessed 'cause I knew the cast would be amazing. And when I finally saw it, I was really thrilled," Nick said.

"It's a great role and I got to get my dance on a little bit, so I'm going to figure that out," he continued. "I did some salsa dancing; just went out and did some salsa dancing, which was a really fun experience and, I think, kind of got me moving a little bit. So I'm feeling a bit more comfortable than I did before and I'm excited to get out there and do the whole Link Larkin thing."

With at least two movie versions and a Broadway adaptation to draw inspiration from, Jonas' Hollywood Bowl interpretation can go anywhere.

"[The films are] very different. I watched the original many, many years ago and loved it as a musical theater fan," he said. "And doing musical theater, it's one of those things where it's a must-watch, and then when the remake came out, I was really interested in that," he said of the Efron-starring 2007 flick. "And I think they did a really good job. It's very different and definitely a modern twist, while still being in the period, but it's a great movie."

January Jones: Yoga Class Cutie

Making sure to stay fit while awaiting her bundle of joy, January Jones got active at a prenatal yoga class in Los Angeles, California earlier today (June 9).

Making her way into class with an ice cold drink and workout mat in-hand, the "X-Men" actress and momma-to-be showed off her super-adorable growing baby bump in a tight black t-shirt.

As of recent, January has been on the receiving end of some not-so-nice comments - one of those being from "Lost" producer Damon Lindelof, who tweeted about her performance in the new superhero sequel, writing, "Emma Frost's THREE mutant powers: Telepathy, Transformation to Solid Diamond and last but not least, Sucking at Acting."

Just last month, "Hangover 2" star Zach Galifianakis slammed Jones during a "ShortList" magazine interview, calling her "rude" after recalling his unpleasant first encounter with the actress.

Nick Jonas' LAX Landing

Heading back to the west coast, Nick Jonas arrived to LAX Airport on a flight from New York earlier today (June 9).

The "Burnin' Up" singer kept it casual for his cross-country travel, wearing a red plaid shirt, blue jeans, and bronze sneakers as he trekked through the airport.

Meanwhile, Nick is readying himself to play Link Larkin during a limited run of "Hairspray" at the Hollywood Bowl this summer.

Jonas talked to MTV about his excitement over the new gig, which kicks off in August, telling, "It's a great role and I got to get my dance on a little bit, so I'm going to figure that out."

The youngest JoBro added, "I did some salsa dancing; just went out and did some salsa dancing, which was a really fun experience and, I think, kind of got me moving a little bit. So I'm feeling a bit more comfortable than I did before and I'm excited to get out there and do the whole Link Larkin thing."

Conflict Over Surfer's Death

Filed under: Andy Irons, RIP, TMZ Sports

The family of surfing legend Andy Irons is adamant the former world champ died as a result of complications from heart disease -- and nothing else -- however, the official autopsy report shows drugs were a factor.

Andy Irons Drugs

Seven months after Irons died in a Dallas hotel room, Andy's family released a statement today explaining Irons died from a heart attack caused by the hardening of his coronary arteries. The family says they spoke with a prominent forensic pathologist who explained Irons had a genetic predisposition to early development of heart disease ... which was SOLELY responsible for the heart attack.

However, the toxicology report and the autopsy from the Tarrant County Medical Examiner note a second cause of death -- "acute mixed drug ingestion."
According to the report, Irons had Xanax and methadone in his system at the time of his death ... along with Benzoylecgonine -- a compound commonly produced by the body after cocaine use.

Andy's wife says the surfer did not use meth, "so it is likely the substance was present in the cocaine he ingested."

Both sides seem to agree dengue fever was not a factor -- as originally suspected.

Irons was 32 years old.

The situation is a carbon copy of Billy Mays' death -- where the coroner ruled the primary cause of death was heart disease and the secondary was cocaine use. Billy's family bitterly disputed the coroner's finding as it related to drug use.

'Transformers 3' Has 'Best Action' Yet, Shia LaBeouf Says

Actor says 'Dark of the Moon' is his last installment, but he'll always covet the franchise: 'It's mine, dude!'

The closer we get to the "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" release date, the more we learn about the colorful characters and details involved in making this highly anticipated third film in the Michael Bay-directed franchise.

In particular, star Shia LaBeouf is someone from whom we've come to expect the unexpected: complete and total honesty. When MTV News caught up with him backstage at Sunday's MTV Movie Awards, we asked if "Dark of the Moon" is really his last onscreen romp with the robots.

"For sure," he said. "I'm not coming back to do another one. I don't think Mike will either. It still is a hot property, I think, especially coming out of the third one. So I imagine they'll reboot it at some point with someone else."

But will it be strange to see someone else hanging out with Optimus Prime and Bumblebee?

"Yeah," LaBeouf admitted. "You have an onus in it. I'll enjoy it. I'll go [see it] opening night, I'll be there. But there is a disconnect. It's mine, dude," he joked of his role in the blockbuster franchise. "It's mine."

Whether LaBeouf can be convinced to return to another "Transformers" film or not, it certainly seems like he and Bay are going out with a bang.

"['Dark of the Moon'] is the best movie we've made, I'm serious," he assured us. "It's not a joke. I'm dead honest, man. I get myself in trouble all the time, but this is our best installment. It's our best movie."

LaBeouf explained that this film's defining characteristic is the action and the revolutionary 3-D.

"It's the best action, in terms of the geography. In the second one, you get confused as to who's fighting who and where you are, because it's such a big landscape," he said. "This one is 'Black Hawk Down'-ish. It's one location, and the geography is simple to understand.

"[Bay] did the 3-D in a different way than anyone has ever done it before," he continued. "James Cameron has seen the movie; he said it's the best 3-D since 'Avatar,' so there's all that. Also, this is our best story. It's the most solid screenplay we've had since we started. All those things plus new cast we have, John Malkovich, Frances McDormand, Ken Jeong, a lot of strong additions. Everything we got right in the first one, we've improved here."
