The Hills -- Staffer Sues, Alleges Sexual Misconduct, Rampant Drug Use

A production coordinator for "The Hills" claims she was unmercifully harassed sexually by a male staffer during the filming of the Costa Rica episode, and even "pressured" to smoke pot ... this according to a new lawsuit.

In the suit, obtained by TMZ, Eliza Sproul alleges Andres (she doesn't give a last name) -- a Costa Rican local -- was hired by MTV to do grunt work.  She says while they were driving together in 2010, she realized something was up when he took his shirt off and began making sexual advances, including comments such as, "I love your freckles.  I like your eyes.  Let's just take off."

A while later, Eliza says Andres drove her into the forest and "pressured" her to smoke marijuana.  We hate it when that happens.

Eliza has lots of other gripes, including:

-- She had to drive male cast members to a shoot and they were drunk and made crude and offensive jokes
-- She was forced to work insanely long hours
-- She had a meltdown and was abandoned in a hospital.
-- It got so bad doctors gave her Valium.

Sounds like a great trip to Costa Rica.

A rep for MTV declined to comment.

Maybe you haven't made your plans yet, but Justin Bieber knows exactly where he'll be on New Year's Eve: Times Square in New York.

Bieber has been booked to play live on "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2012," joining Lady Gaga on the 40th anniversary edition of the December 31 staple.

The show will help cap a busy holiday season for Bieber, who is preparing to release his first-ever holiday album, Under the Mistletoe, on November 1. The first video, for the song "Mistletoe," will debut Tuesday (October 18) at 7:54 p.m. ET/PT on MTV. Bieber said he's excited for fans to check out his mix of holiday standards and new songs.

Regarding why he decided on a holiday release as fans wait for the follow-up to My World 2.0, Bieber said, "I was going to put out my album soon anyways, and I was thinking, 'It's near Christmastime. If I'm going to release an album near Christmas, I figure maybe I'd just do a Christmas album.' The fans get more music, and everyone's happy."

The singer said he picked a mix of his favorite Christmas songs ("Silent Night," "Santa Claus is Coming to Town") and new tunes ("Mistletoe," "Christmas Love") to offer a little something for everyone.

"I picked 'Santa [Claus is] Coming to Town,' because everyone loves those songs. Those are classics. They get people excited for Christmas," he said. "And then, for songs that we wrote, we wanted to make enough new songs for people to hear new music and not just hear some classics. There's a lot of new stuff on there."

Catch the premiere of Justin Bieber's "Mistletoe" video Tuesday (October 18) at 7:54 p.m. ET/PT on MTV, with a full interview to follow on MTV.com.

Heather Mills Sued Over $5,000 Haircuts

Filed under: Heather Mills, Celebrity Justice, Exclusive

heather mills haircut
Heather Mills is a manipulative jerk ... who spread horrible lies about Paul McCartney ... and never paid her hairstylist for $5,000 haircuts ... this according to a new lawsuit obtained by TMZ.

Mills is being sued by her former hair jockey David Paul -- who claims he's gussied up stars like Jennifer Tilly, Judith Light and ... um, Senator Dianne Feinstein.

David claims ... starting in 2005, Mills often hired him at his out-of-shop rate of $5,000-per-day ... to aid her in her quest to become a celeb in the U.S. According to the suit, filed in L.A. County Superior Court, David claims Mills told him she couldn't afford to pay him up front, but promised she'd deliver the green when McCartney gave her money.

David claims Mills used his services at least 20 times ... but never paid up, even after she received a multi-million dollar divorce settlement from the Beatle.

But it gets worse, in the suit, David claims Mills would tell terrible lies about McCartney ... insisting he was "a cheap tyrant who was often a drunk and abusive husband." David claims he believed Mills at the time and even made a YouTube video to defend her.

David says Mills began to avoid him in 2008, after he made several requests for his paychecks ... which totaled $80,000 ... she never, ever paid him.

Now, David wants his money ... plus punitive damages.

Lady Gaga 'Has Full Control,' Akon Says

'Kon was 'fully involved' in her first two albums, but now 'creatively, 100 percent, it's all Gaga,' he tells MTV News.

Over the course of her ever-evolving career, Lady Gaga's longtime boss, Akon, has always been by Gaga's side as she reincarnated herself from disco-ball-wearing dance princess to couture-sporting pop demi-goddess.

Now that Mother Monster is several years and millions of albums sold into her career, Akon has stepped back a bit and changed his role in the Haus of Gaga, giving the singer more control over what she does with her career.

"So the way it works is, Gaga's on Kon Live/Streamline, which is Vincent Herbert, and it's distributed through Interscope," he explained to MTV News. "And the first two albums, we were fully involved in everything creative when it comes to Gaga, and then, as she grows, she becomes more in tune with herself [and] what she wants to do.

"Now she has full control over her project, period," he continued. "Everything you see of Gaga now is all from her brain ... and our job is just to make sure whatever she's thinking we can make into reality. So I guess more so with the approval processes and everything like that, we still do what we do, but creatively, 100 percent, it's all Gaga, and Vince does all the day-to-day stuff relating to Gaga."

Then whatever's about to go down in Gaga's upcoming "Marry the Night" video certainly got the A-OK from Akon. The singer was spotted in New York City filming a clip for the fifth single from her chart-topping Born This Way.

Drake 'Was Begging' To Act On 'Saturday Night Live'

'I'm eager to make people laugh or, you know, accept a dramatic role,' 'Degrassi' alum tells MTV News of his future acting desires.

With his new album Take Care set for release next month, Drake is ready to hit the promotional circuit. His most recent appearance was his "Saturday Night Live" debut, with the MC serving as musical guest alongside host Anna Faris.

But even before hitting the "SNL" stage to perform his Nicki Minaj-assisted single "Make Me Proud," Drake was eager to dust off his acting chops and take part in the evening's live skits. MTV News spoke with the Young Money rapper days before his appearance on the NBC show about getting involved with the comedy crew in some sketches.

"I'm dying to, man. I was begging," he said about acting during the late-night sketch show. "I was begging everybody like, 'Please let me get a skit. Please let me be involved in something.' So I believe last word I got was that I'll be working on something or doing something with the show other than performing."

Besides the release of his anticipated sophomore LP, Drizzy explained that he wants to "get right back into" his acting career, which is how he got his start, on "Degrassi: The Next Generation." "I'm eager to act. I'm eager to make people laugh or, you know, accept a dramatic role. I'm just excited to get back into that. I miss it," he shared, crediting the "SNL" cast and atmosphere as even more reasons behind his yearning for film.

Drake isn't just all talk either, as the rapper told MTV News that he recently partnered with talent agency William Morris to help resurrect his career in front of the camera.

"We're just building up our relationship, so I'm excited to get back into it. I found a home and I feel very proud of where I'm at and I'm excited to move forward and start getting back out there, man," he admitted. "Whatever projects there are available, I'm down."

Alongside a star-studded cast, which includes fellow Young Money signee Nicki Minaj, Drake has already been tapped to lend his voice to "Ice Age: Continental Drift." The animated film is scheduled to hit theaters in July 2012.
