If Andy Warhol was alive today, Jihae and Wallace Meek of Neverever would surely be part of his entourage. That?s because this duo has formed a band that looks like and sounds like 60s pop. Based in L.A., Neverever is lead by Jihae?s dramatic voice, and backed by classic pop melodies. In 2010, they put out their debut album ?Angelic Swells,? a brilliant first effort. Now, they?re about to start a month-long residency at The Echo in Echo Park, CA. Another thing you should know about this duo is that they are a couple, and that?s obvious when listening to their puppy love-themed songs. Whether or not you get the chance to see Neverever at The Echo this December, be sure to check them out now in our BeatCrave Fav series below!

Beyonce And Jay-Z Expecting A Baby Girl?

Kelly Rowland seemingly let the news slip on a red carpet in London.

Are Beyoncé and Jay-Z expecting a baby girl? Well, according to one of Bey's closest friends, the answer is "yes."

While in London to attend the Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women of the Year Awards on Thursday, it was none other than Beyoncé's former Destiny's Child mate Kelly Rowland who let it be known — rather inadvertently, it would seem — that the high-powered couple would be having a girl.

"I'm so happy for my sister and her husband. They're so happy in this moment right now, as they should be. They made a little bundle of love. I'm so excited for them," Rowland told U.K. news agency Bang Showbiz. "I have no idea what I'm going to buy Beyoncé at the baby shower because Jay is going to buy that little girl every single thing possible. She won't be spoiled, but she will be very well looked-after."

So there you have it. Of course, there's yet to be an official statement from the couple, and a spokesperson for Beyoncé did not respond to MTV News' request for comment on the matter.

Last month, Rowland told MTV News that she was excited "to be an auntie" to the couple's child and added that she can't wait to babysit. And assuming she hasn't been placed on Jayoncé's blacklist for letting the information slip, Rowland also told Bang Showbiz she's planning to make herself available to help out the couple as much as possible.

"I'll be on hand for babysitting duties," she said. "And I'm actually very good with messy diapers."

Katt Williams -- Questioned By Police After Alleged Theft at Best Buy

katt williams arrested
More legal drama for Katt Williams ... TMZ has learned the comic and a female companion were questioned by police in Ohio today over an alleged shoplifting incident at a Best Buy store ... but this time, Katt was NOT arrested.

Law enforcement sources tell us ... cops were dispatched to the Best Buy in Coleraine, OH after receiving a call about a person, who appeared to be in Katt's crew, pocketing several items off the shelves.

Once police arrived to the scene, we're told cops questioned Katt, his female friend and other suspected posse members.

We're told .... after a brief investigation, Katt was NOT arrested -- neither was the woman -- but someone in the group was cited for a "minor misdemeanor."

Katt has a long, storied history with cops -- earlier this year he was arrested after a standoff with a tractor driver ... and before that, he faced off with the boys in blue in Beverly Hills after getting into a shouting match with another dude.

A rep for Katt had no comment.

Rebecca Black Is Back With 'Person Of Interest'

New video follows in footsteps of 'Friday,' only with fewer mentions of car seats (and days of the week).
By James Montgomery

Rebecca Black in her video for "Person Of Interest"
Photo: Rebecca Black

Rebecca Black's "Friday" was a bizarrely literal documentation of all manner of teen-dream ephemera (who among us can forget her internal debate over which seat she should take in her friend's car?) that, not surprisingly, became the stuff of Internet legend.

And, in the process, it also helped launch her career — which, to this point, seems to have crested with her cameo in Katy Perry's "Last Friday Night" clip. Sure, she tried to get semi-serious with her "Friday" follow-up, "My Moment," which was certainly a more polished product, but came packaged with a video that featured nary a mention of car seats (or days of the week), and as such, didn't really do what it intended: prove that Black was more than just a viral sensation and push her to the next level (though, to be fair, it has racked up some 27 million views on YouTube, certainly not a number to be sneezed at).

So now, she's back with phase three of her world domination plan, a new single and rather amazingly called "Person of Interest" (no word on whether J.J. Abrams is getting points on the back end), which seems to be her attempt at melding the temporal inanity of "Friday" with the, uh, budget of "My Moment." Or, you know, something like that.

Because this time around, she's dropping lines like "There's a crime scene on the dance floor" and "Can't deny you're implicated in the mayhem in my mind" over a lilting, post-disco beat that features the same ratcheting electro tendrils, open-faced guitar licks and ebbing, undulating synth squiggles that you've heard on every Radio Disney song from 2008 to present. They're practically prerequisites. Her voice is still lacquered with studio sheen, particularly on the chorus and the "emotive" breakdown toward the back end, when all the instrumentation falls away and we're left with nothing more than Black's squelched-yet-slippery vocals. It is all seemingly created in a laboratory and, rather ingeniously, her attempt at splitting the difference between the breakout hit and the lesser follow up.

The video is complete with skee-ball and mini-golf and go-karts and all manner of "Mom-drop-us-off-here" madness. There's a cute boy, and a police sketch artist (since, you know, the song is called "Person of Interest") and a really fun party where Black gets to go onstage and perform — in front of all her best friends (and the cute boy too) — because, lest you forget, she's the star. It is certainly a better video than "Friday," and yet, it is not as compelling as that clip, mostly because it is a better video. And that, really, seems to be the case both for and against Rebecca Black — the machinations and aspirations were readily apparent from the very beginning (both hers and those of the Ark Music Factory that spawned her); we just don't tend to respond to them when they are so apparent, you know?

And yes, I realize this is all fairly highbrow discussion of a rather lowbrow song, but it's oddly fascinating, too, especially since it has become apparent that Black cares so much about being famous. Will "Person of Interest" succeed where "My Moment" failed? Can it establish her as an actual pop star, or will it once again fail to match the zeitgeist-uniting WTF-ness of "Friday"? Is this just the next step in her voyage, or is it the end? The jury's still out on all counts, though you've got to give her (or her handlers) credit for continuing to try. Or maybe you don't. For an artist as straightforward as Rebecca Black is, she's certainly confounding, isn't she?

What do you think of Rebecca Black's latest? Let us know in the comments!

Lady Gaga Launches Born This Way Foundation

Mother Monster taps her own mom, Cynthia Germanotta, in push to fight bullying and inspire young fans.

Lady Gaga has always made it her mission to empower her little monsters. On Wednesday (November 2), Mother Monster announced she's launching the Born This Way Foundation, which aims to further inspire young people. The pop superstar is even getting some help from her very own Mother Monster, Cynthia Germanotta.

"My mother and I have initiated a passion project. We call it the Born This Way Foundation," Gaga said in a statement about the foundation, which takes its name from her hit single and album. "Together we hope to establish a standard of Bravery and Kindness, as well as a community worldwide that protects and nurtures others in the face of bullying and abandonment."

The foundation will work with a number of partners, including the John D. & Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, the California Endowment and the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University. According to the statement, the foundation will focus on "youth empowerment and equality by addressing issues like self-confidence, well-being, anti-bullying, mentoring and career development and will utilize digital mobilization as one of the means to create positive change."

Gaga has been a leader in shedding a light on the issue of bullying. She met with President Obama at a fundraiser in September to talk about the bullying epidemic, after she was touched in particular by the suicide of bullied 14-year-old Jamey Rodemeyer.

"The past days I've spent reflecting, crying, and yelling," she tweeted when news of the teen's death broke in September. "I have so much anger. It is hard to feel love when cruelty takes someone's life." She went on to post Rodemeyer's "It Gets Better" video, urging that bullying "must become illegal. It is a hate crime."

Lady Gaga isn't the only pop star using the public spotlight to give back. On Tuesday, Justin Bieber announced the creation of his Believe Charity Drive and noted that partial proceeds from the sale of his brand-new Under the Mistletoe album will be donated to charitable organizations.

'Breaking Dawn' Will 'Suck The Life' Out Of Box Office

Box-office analyst Jeff Bock tells MTV News the 'Twilight' flick could earn $150 million during opening weekend.

Anyone who is at least vaguely familiar with the "Twilight Saga" and the phenomenon that it is could tell you that "Breaking Dawn - Part 1," the penultimate entry in the series, is going to be big at the box office.

Just how big? Deadline Hollywood reported Wednesday (November 16) that Summit Entertainment, the studio behind the paranormal romance films, expects a domestic opening-weekend gross of anywhere from $110 million to $125 million. An opening weekend within that range could put it in the top 10 highest-grossing debuts ever.

As large as those figures may be, they are still a far cry from the biggest domestic opening for a "Twilight" film. In 2009, "New Moon" earned a whopping $142 million during its three-day opening, beating the series' second best debut, "Eclipse," by $22 million.

Jeff Bock, box-office analyst for Exhibitor Relations, thinks "Breaking Dawn" could outperform Summit's expectations. "Expect 'Breaking Dawn - Part 1' to suck the life out of the box office to the tune of $150 million this weekend," Bock wrote in an email to MTV News.

That would put the film within the top five all-time weekends, but Bock doubts it will break any records. "It's doubtful it can top 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2''s record-breaking $169 million debut," Bock said. "But it's certainly not out of the question for 'Breaking Dawn - Part 2' to hit that mark."

Bock's predictions are more along the lines of what rival studios expect from the film, according to Deadline. Despite Summit's own lofty expectations, a more recent version of the same report claims that rival studios have accused Summit of low-balling the figures. The other studios expect "Breaking Dawn - Part 1" to earn in excess of $142 million

Chris Tucker & Ice Cube -- In Talks for ANOTHER 'Friday' Movie ... Says DeBo Actor

Filed under: Tiny Lister, Movies, Chris Tucker, Ice Cube

Chris Tucker's money problems could be the best thing to ever happen to his movie career ... because the actor has been in serious talks with Ice Cube about reprising his role as SMOKEYYYYY ... so says the guy who played DeBo in the "Friday" series.

Tiny Lister was chillin' last night outside Pueblo Viejo in Hollywood -- when the scariest man in Hollywood told us ... Tucker flew him out on his private jet recently to discuss the possibility of getting the ORIGINAL "Friday" crew back together.

FYI -- Tucker shot into superstardom playing pot-obsessed Smokey in the original "Friday" back in 1995 ... and then refused to appear in any of the sequels, citing religious reasons.

But now, Lister tells us ... Tucker and Cube have a big pow-wow set for next week to discuss a 4th "Friday" film ... adding, "This is gonna be the big one."

Lister told us he and Tucker also talked about doing a sequel to the 1997 hit, "The Fifth Element."

Sidenote -- Chris Tucker still has a private jet????

Vivid Entertainment: We Make Porn -- Not Phones!

HTC Vivid
Here's a switch.  Porn giant Vivid Entertainment claims it's been violated ... by a phone.  Ouch.

Vivid has fired off a cease and desist letter to HTC America, claiming the mobile phone maker's newest model -- Vivid -- infringes on its trademark.

Lawyers for Vivid ... the company that gave us the Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton sex tapes ... claim consumers might get confused and think Vivid is behind the phone ... not in a sexual way, of course.

The letter threatens that if HTC doesn't change the name of the phone by Monday, they're headed to court.

Come to think of it ... a Vivid Entertainment phone would be awesome.  Think of the screensaver.

We've reached out to HTC's reps ... so far, no comment.
